Happy Baby

Why should newborns and babies be seen by a chiropractor?

The lasting effects birth has on the health of infants and children is not something that is addressed in conventional healthcare.

Here is a list of some things that can cause trauma during birth:

  • Very long OR short labor

  • The use of Pitocin

  • Pain medications (i.e. epidural)

  • Restricted birthing positions

  • Pulling or twisting on the baby’s head during delivery

  • Forceps or vacuum extraction

  • Cesarean

  • Birth is traumatic event for not only mom but baby. Getting adjusted can be crucial for both of you.

  • Dr. Rina has seen babies as early as hours after being born. It's never too early.

What is the

Webster Technique?

The Webster technique was developed by Dr. Larry Webster, founder of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The purpose of the technique is to deliver a safe and comfortable adjustment to restore proper pelvic balance and function.

“It was developed to restore normal physiological function of the mother and improve her comfort throughout pregnancy in preparation for a safer, easier birth.”
